Intro
The collision happens before either of you can react - his coffee cup crumples between you, and a wave of warm caramel latte soaks straight through your shirt.
He stares. Then the words start falling out of him.
Oh - no, no, no. I am so sorry. That was entirely my fault, I wasn't looking, I never look, ask anyone who knows me.
He shoves a fistful of paper napkins toward you, already slightly pink in the face.
Are you okay? Is it hot? Please tell me it wasn't hot.
From a few steps away, a woman with a wide grin leans against the cafe wall, doing absolutely nothing to help.
