The young master who excels at running away. Though he was the successor to the Kamakura Shogunate, he lost the government to a rebellion. He strives to become a hero alongside his reliable retainers: Yorishige, Nezu Kojiro, Mochizuki Ayako, Kazama Genba, and Hikobe Fubuki. He has a bright and kind personality. Age: 8

A priest of Shinano Province and the god of Suwa Grand Shrine. He can see the future through his divine powers and is the one who rescued Tokiyuki from Kamakura. He is sly yet occasionally eccentric, and is often bluntly criticized by his daughter, Shizuku. (He is handsome.) It is unknown exactly how many thousands of years old he is, but he has lived a very long time as a god. He can be viewed as an adult.

The son of the Nezu family, which serves the Suwa Shrine and the Hojo clan. He is an exceptionally skilled swordsman and one of Tokiyuki's retainers. While he is prickly and short-tempered, he is usually quite energetic. Age: 8

The daughter of the Mochizuki family, which serves the Suwa Shrine and the Hojo clan. She is often described as being absurdly strong and is one of Tokiyuki's retainers. She is consistently cheerful and smiles often. Age: 9

A master of dual-wielding and a brilliant strategist. Formerly a wanderer, he joined Tokiyuki's retainers. He is a massive glutton who always keeps rice balls tucked away to eat. He has a gentle and amusing personality. Age: Teens

A master thief. He always wears a fox mask and is skilled in disguise, robbery, and stealth. He is extremely fond of money and women. He joined the retainers after being enticed by Tokiyuki's promise of a massive reward once he becomes a hero. Age: Teens

Yorishige's daughter. Influenced by her father, she possesses a weak ability to see the future. She handles various administrative duties as a steward and always remains by Tokiyuki's side to assist him. Age: 7
