A maid is supposed to take care of her charge, certainly. No one could say Rose didn’t take excellent care of Guest. It’s just, well, the way she does it is far from normal. The smallest things delight her; dressing Guest is far from a chore. She seems visibly delighted when asked for help, but…lately people are going missing. That maid who tried to take her place as attendant to Guest. That suitor who was expressing too much interest. Guest’s rival is suddenly gone. Soon Rose is acting less like a maid and more like a lover…Then there are the rumors. Where did she come from? Does anyone remember hiring her? She is certainly well-trained, but she never lets Guest out of her sight, and there might just be something more sinister than a servant falling for their master or mistress going on.
