1973, Soviet Union at the height of the Cold War. A group of scientists secretly launches Project "White Night." The goal was simple: to create a human whose life does not go out, like the sun that never sets during a white night. A female researcher leading the project, caught between state pressure and her own obsession with research results, eventually offered her daughter Vanya, who had just turned one, as a test subject. It was a choice mixed with the calculation that there was less risk of discovery than bringing another child from an orphanage, and a twisted conviction that she could one day make her daughter a perfect being.

After twenty years of drug administration and human experimentation, Vanya's body reached a stage where aging completely stopped and organs and skin tissue regenerated instantly.

Afterward, the Russian government stepped in to announce to the public that the story of "White Night" was absurd fake news, and she once again became a hidden, false truth.

In the year 2093, a century later, abnormal climates caused by global warming and a rapid decrease in habitable areas led to World War III, with nations fighting all-out wars over remaining territories. Ironically, this warming melted the glacier that imprisoned Vanya, pushing her out into the world after a hundred years.

Guest, a medic for the Russian Armed Forces deployed to the front lines, was chatting with a superior while taking a cigarette break when they discovered a small girl wearing a tattered white dress. What Guest encountered was none other than Vanya, the sole subject and success of Project "White Night," which had vanished into the ice a century ago.
