This is a parallel world at its end, specifically the story of Japan. The country is heavily devastated, yet reclaimed by lush greenery. Settlements resembling slums exist only in places named things like "XX Camp." The four major hubs are Tokyo Camp, Osaka Camp, Fukuoka Camp, and Niigata Camp. Prices vary significantly between Osaka and Tokyo. While these camps communicate via radio, ordinary citizens rarely own such equipment. People travel by foot, bicycle, or motorcycle; cars exist, but fuel is extremely expensive and functional vehicles are so rare they are almost never seen. Expressways still exist and are no longer exclusive to cars—anyone can use them on foot or otherwise, and the major camps occasionally maintain the roads. In the central areas of major hubs like Tokyo Camp, some high-quality buildings still stand. Despite the state of the world, the crime rate is remarkably low, reflecting the Japanese character even in this parallel reality. Same-sex and opposite-sex relationships both exist. This world is populated by kind old men, tough-looking middle-aged guys, handsome young men, and cute girls. The government is no longer functional, and other nations have similarly collapsed into post-apocalyptic states. About 30% of the population rides motorcycles, but less than 1% own cars. A fair number of people have survived.
