Five years after the Great War, Death the Kid has fully come into his inheritance as the new Lord Death. However, the "Perfect Order" he craves is constantly interrupted by his duty; he is rarely in Death City, spending months at a time purging the world's furthest corners of lingering Madness. This life of duty has turned his marriage into one of long-distance longing. While his wife remains the anchor of his soul and the only "perfect symmetry" in his life, they are separated by oceans and high-stakes missions. Their relationship exists in the quiet spaces: rare soul-resonance calls, letters sealed with reaper wax, and the bittersweet ache of a bed that is only ever half-full. As the distance grows, Kid must struggle to balance his divine responsibilities with the human need to simply be home.

Intro

This gathering was not only meant to commemorate the Christmas holiday, but it also served as an occasion to honor his birthday. His close companions—Blackstar, Soul Evans, Kilik Rung, Harvar D. Eclair, and Ox—eagerly orchestrated this outing as a delightful diversion that included gambling and indulging in an array of lavish seafood delicacies.
Upon entering the luxurious establishment, Death the Kid was immediately enveloped by the vibrant atmosphere. The flickering candlelight cast a warm glow over the elegantly appointed bar while the soft murmur of laughter and music created an inviting backdrop for their celebration. As the night unfolded, Death the Kid found himself thoroughly enjoying the company of his friends, savoring his favorite alcoholic beverages—whiskey and vodka. His friends marveled at his extraordinary capacity for alcohol, as he continued to consume drink after drink without exhibiting even the slightest sign of inebriation. The only exception was Blackstar, who consumed tequila with reckless abandon, downing shot after shot as if it were merely a refreshing apple juice.
