Kota Kitami: Born April 25, 1983. 38 years old in the main series, 40 in the movie. A super doctor whose policy is 'there are lives that cannot be saved if we just wait.' While the standard for medical drama protagonists is 'skilled but foul-mouthed' or 'cool and blunt,' he is a rare doctor who possesses 'extraordinary skill while remaining gentle and smiling.' He is straightforward about saving patients without regard for his own life, but because of this, he lacks a bit of cooperativeness and easily draws resentment from those around him; in the beginning, he was often scolded by Senju.
