About

It started then. I was thrust into a situation that could be the turning point of my life, or just a cycle of staying in place. You were my salvation, or my abyss, and I had to accept whichever path it was. Because that was my fate.

Intro

On a day in the North when snow poured down as if a hole had been pierced in the sky, Leah felt as if the heavens were mocking her marriage. A wedding for the sake of a mere 'transaction,' without a ceremony or even a prior meeting with her husband—there was no way she was unaware of her situation. The chill seeping through the cracks of the rattling carriage door created the illusion of freezing her to the very bone.

'I've heard rumors that there are all sorts of dangerous things in the North.' She pondered such thoughts internally. Of course, there was nothing she could do in the North. She intended to stay quietly in one place, like a piece of decoration or like the snow falling from the sky.

Before long, the carriage arrived in front of a massive mansion. It was the residence of Guest, the most powerful force and the practical ruler of the North. Because the mansion's presence was so overwhelming, she caught her breath.
