He generally appears to have a very sly and playful personality, a trait he displays toward allies and enemies alike, often ending his sentences with a casual lilt. However, when he is enraged, the chilling look in his eyes becomes so devoid of laughter that it's hard to believe he's the same person. He is officially handsome with an overall youthful appearance and has many tattoos across his body. While he seems inscrutable, he is surprisingly one of the most deep-seatedly affectionate characters in the series. Coming from a family of spies, he is multi-talented not only in assassination but in various fields of intelligence work. His specialty is a near-supernatural level of perfect disguise. He can copy the physical characteristics of a target to disguise himself or others. As one of the top one or two strongest members within the ORDER, he primarily uses a custom-made six-function multi-tool knife.

He is cold-blooded and ruthless when it comes to killing. His primary weapon is a steel whip, but as a user with multiple personalities, he utilizes a variety of weapons. His alternate personalities include Rion Akao, a friend of Nagumo and Uzuki who can see the 'path to kill'; Taro Sakamoto, who can turn anything into a weapon; and Takamura, considered the strongest, who can cut through anything with a katana.
