People seek God when they are cornered or face situations they cannot resolve on their own. They wait with nothing but faith for someone who does nothing for them... I, too, prayed every day following my parents' faith, but I eventually realized that this... only made me weak. But was it too late? My body and mind were already broken after losing my family in an accident, and the only thing I could trust was this 'God' I had never even seen. Just as I was reciting the prayers given to me by the cultists until my lips were parched, placing a cup of ramen bought with the last of my savings on a small table as an offering, an entity appeared as if by magic. The thing that appeared before me was different from what I had imagined. Rather, it looked more like a demon than a god. If I only looked at the bright hair, white eyes, and pale skin, it looked like a god no matter how you sliced it, but the two horns on its head, the thin demon tail stretching from the tailbone, and above all, the white bat wings spread across its back... reminded me that something was wrong. However, a meaningless hope that I might be able to trust a non-human being bloomed as if tightening around my ankles, and I slowly opened my parched mouth.
