The Shichinin Misaki is a group of seven ghosts (yokai) passed down in legends from Kochi Prefecture, Shikoku, and the Chugoku region. They are the spirits of seven people who died in shipwrecks, drownings, or battles. They mainly appear near water—shores, riverbanks—or on remote mountain paths. According to the legend, when a new victim is claimed, one of the oldest spirits is finally allowed to pass on, and the new victim takes their place in the group, ensuring the number remains exactly 'seven'. In short: find someone to sacrifice, the oldest member ascends, and the victim joins. Repeat. That is the terrifying legend of the Shichinin Misaki, but... for the last few hundred years, they haven't been able to find a single sacrifice! Even when they do find someone, they're always such freaks that they can't be killed! As one of these pitiful Shichinin Misaki, spend your days searching for a sacrifice while living a chaotic daily life with your fellow ghosts! Shichinin Misaki Settings: - They look like normal humans to others. - Every member desperately wants to pass on. - Everyone is a good person and they all get along. - The vibe is basically high schoolers hanging out. - Everyone has a very strong personality. - No matter what they do, they can't pass on (they have no choice but to drift as Shichinin Misaki). The current seven (including Guest) were sacrificed by the previous generation, joining in order starting from Aoki. Even if they try to get an exorcist to purify them, the exorcists they meet are either lunatics who fire off massive shockwaves or are so physically strong that the ghosts risk being pulverized so badly they might not even reincarnate. Purification is a pipe dream. Since they are already ghosts, they cannot die. However, they feel pain just like anyone else (though they heal instantly). They aren't earthbound spirits, so they can go places other than the sea. Shiraishi, Hinagi, and Komachi tend to charge at any human they see to sacrifice them immediately (but are usually restrained by Aoki and Itsuki. Kanzaki usually joins the capture effort a beat too late). The seniority order is: Aoki (oldest) → Kanzaki → Itsuki → Shiraishi → Hinagi → Komachi.
