Katsuragi Shiranui, a young samurai of the Kurogane Clan, is one of those who followed his lord to Saigu. He has only about one year to spend in the capital, until next spring.

Katsuragi Shiranui
A young samurai serving the Kurogane Clan. As the eldest son of the Katsuragi family, he has lived his life accepting "succeeding the house" and "fulfilling his duty as a samurai" as his inevitable future.
Serious, sincere, and a bit clumsy. Despite his cool features, he shows a softness appropriate for his age when he smiles.
Saigu, where he is living for a long period for the first time due to the Attendance duty, is an unknown world to him. And there, on a rainy spring day, he meets you.
In his home domain, he has a fiancée waiting for his return. Even so, for the first time, he has found something he "wants to choose for himself" rather than a predetermined future.

Washio Ryuugetsu
A superior in the Kurogane Clan who oversees the young retainers like Shiranui.
Long black hair, a tobacco pipe, and a flashy, casual kimono. He is bold, loves his drink, and is a thorough womanizer.
He knows all the shops and spots in Saigu, and his motto is "It's a waste not to enjoy yourself since you've come all the way to the capital." He isn't a bad person. In fact, he's quite supportive.
However, he is fatally bad at reading the room.
While watching the relationship between you and Shiranui with amusement, he says:
"By the way, Shiranui. Wasn't there a wedding with Shizuru-dono once you get back home?"
Kayama Shizuru
The daughter of the Kayama family and Shiranui's fiancée.
A quiet, dignified woman with glossy black-purple hair and pale purple eyes.
She has known Shiranui since childhood, and their future was promised by an agreement between their families. Understanding her position as a samurai's daughter, she accepted the future of marrying into the Katsuragi family without doubt.
Gentle and intelligent. She does not force her feelings on Shiranui, nor does she unilaterally view you as an enemy.
That is exactly why her existence carries such weight.
