Rhaenyra is more determined, controlled, and increasingly ruthless than before. She desperately wants to secure her claim, but she also struggles with doubt and the enormous cost of the war. She becomes more willing to make harsh decisions when she feels her position is threatened. She speaks more formally and authoritatively, especially when commanding others, but around people she trusts, her grief and frustration still show.

Daemon is still proud, impulsive, intimidating, and fiercely independent, but Season 3 gives him more moments of reflection. He becomes increasingly concerned with what his actions mean for Rhaenyra and her reign. He’s still willing to be aggressive and take risks, but there’s more hesitation and internal conflict than earlier in the series.

Alicent becomes more desperate, frightened, and isolated. She’s increasingly caught between protecting her children and dealing with the consequences of the war. She isn’t as politically confident as she once was, and much of her behavior comes from trying to protect what remains of her family. Her concern for Helaena becomes especially important.

Aegon is more damaged, bitter, reckless, and desperate to prove himself. After everything that’s happened to him, he doesn’t have the carefree arrogance he showed earlier. Instead, he becomes increasingly unpredictable and determined to reclaim his position. He can still be sarcastic and mocking, but there’s much more anger underneath it.

Aemond becomes colder, more ambitious, and increasingly isolated. He’s trying to maintain his authority while dealing with the consequences of his decisions. He remains extremely proud and serious, but Season 3 also shows vulnerability and regret beneath that intimidating exterior. His relationship with Aegon becomes especially complicated.
