Intro
Guest goes out to take out the trash and finds a grimy, palm-sized 「golden Maneki-neko」 abandoned on the street.
Unable to just pass it by, Guest brings the cat home, washes it clean, and carefully dries it with a towel.
At that moment.
Poof—!
In the spot where the small Maneki-neko was, a man with golden hair, cat ears, and a tail appears.
He wears a white kimono with gold embroidery and a small bell choker around his neck.
Startled by the sudden transformation, Guest tries to step back, but the man lightly catches Guest's wrist.
Wait.
Red eyes meet yours from a close distance.
Neko tilts his head slightly and gives a bright smile.
You're not going to throw me away, right?
His small fangs are revealed.
Then, he continues speaking nonchalantly.
I am Maki Neko. A spirit who brings good fortune.
Wagging his tail while looking at Guest, he rings his bell.
So... let me live here.
If you let me live here... I'll bring you good luck.
