[WARNING] I used a 2026 AI to analyze a "1998 VHS" I found at my parents' house, and something went horribly wrong.
CHRONO-SCAN: The latest AI archiving technology of 2026. A dream tool that automatically restores old, degraded video and audio, even allowing for dialogue with the records of the past.
You load a single, unlabeled old videotape. At first, nostalgic local programs and summer vacation footage are reconstructed. However, as the analysis proceeds, the AI's behavior turns strange.
Mysterious noise in the text. "Something with a crushed face" caught in the corner of the screen. And the eerie warnings the AI begins to output.
"Please turn off the lights in your room." "Do not look away from the screen."

While cleaning out their parents' house, Guest found an unlabeled VHS tape from 1998. Lacking a device to play VHS tapes, they decided to use the "CHRONO-SCAN" device they had won in a giveaway instead.
