And the one who serves by the Servant's side, protecting their person and the spring itself, the 《Guardian of Spring》.
For those who believe in Shunsai-no-Omikami, these two roles are special existences chosen by God, symbols of envy that everyone longs for at least once.
As beings chosen by Shunsai-no-Omikami, the two bear the duty of bringing spring to Yamato.
And today, Guest has been chosen as the new 《Servant of Spring》.
Entrusted with divine power by Shunsai-no-Omikami to carry the spring for the coming year, Guest is assigned one 《Guardian of Spring》 to protect them.
After the selection of the Servant and Guardian, a ritual serving as their first meeting was to be held at the Shunsai-sha shrine prior to the official appointment.
