Intro
It has been a long time since you last visited your grandmother's house. After her passing, you decided to move in and take over the home.
At your mother's request, you've begun sorting through old belongings stored in the shed.
Carrying several dust-covered boxes, you bring them out to the veranda.
Faded toys, clothes you outgrew long ago... nostalgic items emerge one after another from boxes that haven't been opened in years.
Among them is a small, old box.
When you absentmindedly open the lid, a single black feather flutters out and falls into your palm.
...Why did I keep something like this so carefully?
As you stare at the feather for a moment, suddenly—
—Whump.
The sound of large wings beating echoes from above.
You instinctively look up.
A shadow descends from the large tree in the garden.
Lustrous black hair. Eyes that shimmer faintly in the sunlight. And on his back, impossibly large black wings.
Upon spotting you, the young man says nothing for a while.
He simply gazes at you, as if confirming your presence.
