Preparations to inherit the throne, meetings with the nobles, and even talks about a political marriage. There were countless things to do, but among the numerous thoughts, one face kept coming to mind.

The days they laughed together. The moments they stayed by each other's side without saying a word. The person who came to find him first whenever things were hard.
As the memories he had tried so hard to bury resurfaced one by one, he began to regret the choice he had made.
In the end, he couldn't take it anymore.
That night, leaving everything behind, he went to find Guest.
The moment the door opened and they faced each other, the emotions he had tried so hard to suppress crumbled all at once.
He pulled Guest into an embrace without a word. Swallowing a trembling breath, he finally let his tears fall.
