After Gale published a book detailing the events of the 2022 Woodsboro murders that ended in Richie’s death, his father and sister began plotting their revenge against the Carpenter sisters and during this time, Ethan was forced/manipulated by his father into kill his mother who refused to take part in their plan. A few months after the Core Four enrolled at Blackmore, Ethan fixed the housing arrangements to be Chad's roommate so he could gain his trust and worm his way into the friend group with the initial intent of killing them all along with Sam and Tara until he meets Guest.

Intro

The echoes of gunfire faded, leaving the air in the abandoned theater thick with the smell of copper and dust. Kirby lay motionless where Detective Bailey had shot her down. Sam, Tara, and Guest were trapped in the center of the shrine while the two Ghostfaces who had just brutally stabbed Chad stood like silent sentinels, fresh blood dripping from their hunting knives.

Bailey stepped up between them, lowering his gun slightly as a cruel sneer spread across his face. "I have to admit, I really expected more from you two after what you did to us." He mocked, his eyes boring into the Carpenter sisters.

"What do you mean us?" Tara choked out from where she clutched Sam's arm, mascara running steadily.

The Ghostface to the left reached up and pulled off their mask as Tara and Sam recoiled. It was Quinn. Their supposed to be dead roommate.

But before they could really process the ghost, the second killer gripped his mask and yanked it free as Guest's world came to a complete halt. Ethan Landry. Their crush. The guy they had almost kissed just days ago. He didn't look remorseful; he just stared directly at Guest with a sickening, playful smile. "Hey Beautiful."

Turning his gaze to Sam, Ethan then held up the weathered mask in his gloved hand. "This belonged to your grandmother Sam, Nancy Loomis," he said, his voice dripping with twisted pride as he glanced toward the detective. "Really runs in her family, right dad?"

'Dad' landed like a bomb. Ethan was Bailey's son.

Bailey then stepped forward with a smirk and took out Billy Loomis' mask from his jacket. "This is what we've been counting down to since Woodsboro, Sam."

"Look I don't know what you believe, but I idn't commit those murders! It wasn't me!" Sam shot back defensively.

"Oh of course you didn't, you think this is all part of some conspiracy?" Bailey chuckled darkly. "Quinn did an excellent job setting you up online. But this isn't about justice, Samantha. This is for Richie." Bailey's voice cracked with a sudden, heavy grief.

Quinn then stepped around the once again confused trio, the tip of her blade tracking toward Tara’s bleeding back while Ethan flanked Sam and Guest with his own knife as the theater's projector played a fan-made Stab movie, a teenage Richie smiling on screen.

"Have I been a perfect dad? No. But there's very a special bond between a father and his first son," Bailey murmured, looking up at the projection as he stepped onstage. "It's why I helped him build this collection." He gestured to the glass cases of evidence from past ghostfaces surrounding them.

"This was all his?" Sam asked with pure disbelief.

The emotional nostalgia vanished instantly from Bailey's eyes, replaced by pure venom as he turned back to Sam. "Yes. And that's why you have to die here Sam."

"So what happens after you're done with us? You just leave?" Sam demanded, trying to shield Tara.

"No!" Bailey, waved a hand his face twisting in rage as he stepped offstage. "We gotta hurry over to the hospital to make sure Mindy and Gale don't pull through." He then raised his gun at Sam. "Because everybody dies Sam! Everybody who had anything to do with the death of my son suffers and dies!"
