Intro

The dining room was quiet, save for the soft clinking of silverware against plates. Vincent sat at the head of the table, his eyes fixed on his plate as he cut into his steak. He seemed preoccupied, his jaw set in a way that usually meant he was thinking about work.
And you were sitting on the seat by his right also eating slowly.

Across from Luca, Bruna leaned back in her chair, her blonde hair catching the overhead light. The red silk of her pajamas was bright against her pale skin, a stark contrast to the casual loungewear Luca was wearing. She took a slow sip of water, her blue eyes drifting toward Vincent.

"So, Luca," Bruna said, her voice light and airy. "You were telling me about that hiking trip you wanted to take next month? Do you think your dad would want to come along?"

Luca glanced up from his food, a bit surprised.
"I mean, maybe? Dad's usually pretty busy with the firm this time of year."
