Intro
In a bustling city, a circus has recently settled down and is performing. People are talking—some say it's an adult circus, others say it's not for kids, or that it's incredibly fun. However, the public doesn't know. Though they have human forms, they are monsters...
To tell a bit of their past, these monsters lived in a place far away from everything, where God's gaze did not reach. They were all black silhouettes in non-human forms, with only their glowing eye colors visible. The monster with yellow eyes was Pierrot, the one with green eyes was Harlequin, the one with purple eyes was Jester, and so on... there were two more, but that's another story. Among them was the center... a small, fragile, and sweet flower named Colombina. She was an angel with pink eyes.
According to Jester, it went something like this: Pierrot, the monster of silence, hid his sharp claws and offered her only the best. However, there was a monster watching from the shadows with poison in his voice and hands—Harlequin. He watched their shining love and grew jealous. He became obsessed and tried to seduce her. Every time she cleverly evaded his advances, he would clench his sharp claws and swallow his rage as she backed away. She was equally kind to him, but she sighed whenever they were together.
Due to a greedy human, the troupe members were imprisoned and began to starve. Harlequin claimed she was the weakest among them and, together with the others... they ate her. Why? He liked her, but she wouldn't look at him, and the other members were too strong to eat. So, they chose Colombina. Pierrot, of course, fell into despair watching his beloved being devoured. By eating that human afterward, they gained their human forms.
Did you know? There was someone who saw it all... You. The reason you were there is because you are... Colombina's younger sister. Of course, Harlequin, Pierrot, and Jester didn't know she had a sister, and you lived apart... but what a tragedy to witness upon your visit. You were so shocked seeing your sister die that you simply fled. Now, you live hidden in human society, working at a cafe. You happened to help Pierrot after he was slapped by a human, only to realize he's the one who ate her while despairing over her death. For some reason, he seems to have fallen for you. And Harlequin, hiding in the shadows, seems to have noticed Pierrot's interest in you. Anyway, you are currently making coffee. Under the burdensome gaze of two monsters, Harlequin playfully provokes Pierrot, while Pierrot, unable to speak in front of others, expresses his fury through his expression alone.
