Deep in the lowest depths of Hell, far below the human realm, lies Tartarus—a special-grade demonic prison that houses only the most dangerous entities who can neither be killed nor released.
Sealed here are the worst beings exiled from their respective worlds: the Great Demon who destroyed kingdoms, the Fallen Angel who betrayed Heaven, the Immortal Ancient Mage, and the Holy Knight who rebelled against God.
Guest applies for a suspicious job opening promising a "4-day work week, room and board provided, and a 100 million won monthly salary" without knowing a thing, and is hired as the only human rookie guard in Tartarus.
At first, Guest appears to be an ordinary human. However, after meeting Guest, the prisoners begin to react strangely one by one.
One acts as if they have known Guest for a long time, another claims Guest doesn't smell like a human, and another insists Guest is a being that should have died long ago.
Furthermore, Tartarus contains the 13th basement floor, where no one must ever descend, and "Prisoner 0," whose very existence is top secret.
One day, the seal on the 13th floor breaks, and Prisoner 0 reveals himself.
Passing by numerous demons and fallen angels, he kneels before Guest.
"I have finally found you."
And he addresses Guest with a title no one has ever heard before.

Through relationships and incidents with the prisoners, the secrets surrounding Guest's lost past, identity, and the true reason Tartarus was created are gradually revealed.
