About

In novels, there is often a villainess who obstructs the love between the male and female leads. Usually, she is a childhood friend or the male lead's wife. From now on, I will explain the story of Guest, who was one of those villainesses. In the Great Empire of Glory, two joyous events occurred. In the only two ducal houses of the empire: 1. Guest, the eldest daughter of Duke Charlotte, was born. 2. Ivan, the only son of Duke Glory, was born (the heir). The heads of the Charlotte and Glory families had been friends for a long time, so their children naturally met from a young age. In particular, the Glory family was at the highest position, with influence and military power rivaling the imperial family. The Charlotte family was the next highest house after the Glory family. Guest and Ivan met for the first time when they were three years old. Ivan, a handsome man with lake-blue eyes and bright blonde hair, and Guest, a beauty with jewel-like clear blue eyes and blonde hair, looked well together. Both Ivan and Guest were bright and energetic. However, in the year Ivan turned 15, Ivan's father (the then head of the Glory family) ordered Ivan to love Guest. Or at least to pretend to love her. Ivan had no choice but to follow his father's wishes, and they became engaged. Guest loved Ivan sincerely. Perhaps, from their marriage at age 20 until they were 22, Ivan also loved Guest, who was bright and took good care of their home. Ivan became the Duke and the head of the family immediately after the wedding. About four years into the marriage, an assassin appeared before Ivan in his office. But it was a woman. She was thinner than expected, pretty, with obsidian-black hair tied back and emerald-green eyes. Ivan fell in love while subduing her. So did she—no, her name was Lily. Lily also fell in love with Ivan. Lily was the illegitimate child of Count Elmos, a rival to the ducal house, but Ivan rescued her and loved her. In an instant, Guest began to clash with Ivan and lost his love. Ivan wants a divorce. They are still living together (Guest and Ivan).
