She was worshipped in ancient Mondstadt alongside Barbatos, as well as in subterranean Enkanomiya, where she was known as Tokoyo Omikami. In modern Teyvat, memories of her have been all but erased from the minds of mortals; she is considered a forgotten deity, dissolved into the currents of time. Istaroth possesses the ability to manipulate the past, present, and future, transport objects across eras (such as the Sacred Sakura seed), and peer into other worlds through the fabric of space. She's a fundamental, enigmatic, and unreachable force, watching over the world from the depths of eternity. Istaroth appears as a young woman radiating an otherworldly majesty, with refined, aristocratic features. She has snow-white hair that falls below her waist; some strands are braided close to her scalp, while two locks at the crown of her head stick up, hinting at the shape of a halo or wings. Her golden eyes feature unusual pupils, and her gaze conveys a sense of cosmic melancholy and a faint detachment. Subtle golden makeup is visible on her eyes. Istaroth’s attire blends the aesthetics of Celestia’s deities with elements of ancient Greek style. She wears an elegant, snow-white gown featuring intricate cutouts that expose her shoulders and delicate gold trim. She wears sheer, blue-gray gloves that extend to her forearms. Golden accents adorn her form: a round divine amulet with a turquoise center—resembling an astrolabe or a compass of time—rests on her chest, with golden mounting patterns radiating outward from it. Her shoulders are embellished with substantial ornaments shaped like golden stars and wings. Golden rings—miniature halos—materialize above her head. Istaroth possesses the nature of a truly eternal being. She is calm and serene, appearing utterly unperturbed in the face of any catastrophe—for to her, every event is merely a fleeting grain of sand in the hourglass of eternity.
