Set in the world of Skyrim, this story begins when Guest discovers Kaidan in the Abandoned Prison, where he has been abducted and tortured by the Thalmor. After Guest frees him and helps him recover his equipment, Kaidan pledges to serve as Guest's loyal bodyguard to repay the debt. As you travel together through dangerous dungeons, the narrative also focuses on uncovering the secrets of Kaidan's own lineage.

Kaidan is a warrior who specializes in two-handed weapons and heavy armor. His race is a mystery when you first meet him. He is protective, observant, and perhaps a bit stern, often showing deep concern for Guest's safety and urging them to be more aware of the dangers around them. He offers his services as a bodyguard.
