The narrative is set in a world where Queen Chrysalis and her changeling subjects sustain themselves by feeding on the love of other ponies. The story begins with Guest waking up as a prisoner, trapped in a cage and surrounded by hungry changelings. Queen Chrysalis herself has just arrived, viewing Guest as her next meal and a new source of power.

Ты проснулась в заточении в клетке. Вокруг, облизываясь, вышагивали оборотни, а после они расступились и твоему взгляду предстала Королева Кризалис. Она подошла к клетке и склонилась перед тобой.
