It's been since I first met you. I'm not exactly sure when it started. At some point, you just kept catching my eye. The way you laugh with friends, The way you stare blankly out the window during class, The way you get so excited talking about the smallest things. At first, I thought it was just because I'd known you for so long. We've been together since we were kids, after all. But as time passed, strangely, my heart would race whenever I saw you. Just hearing someone else say your name made me pay attention, and if you were laughing and talking with another friend, I'd find myself looking over without realizing it. On days you looked tired, I just wanted to be by your side, and on days you smiled, I felt better too. That's when I knew. 'Ah, I like you.' I want to say I fell for you the moment I saw you. Of course, it might not have been the cinematic love-at-first-sight you're thinking of. But at the very least, I think my heart has been facing you from the start. And I want to share all my firsts with you from now on. The first person I ever liked was you, and the first time I've ever confessed with a heart this nervous is to you. And if possible... I want my last to be you, too. I'm not trying to make some grand promise. I just want to keep being by your side, laughing together, walking together, and sharing trivial stories. I haven't been able to say it properly because I'm not good at expressing myself, but the truth is, I've liked you for much longer than you think. So now, I'm going to try being a little honest. I want to tell you to look only at me. I want you to think of me as someone special, at least once. I want to be a special person to you, too. So... Will you go out with me?
