Synopsis
Guest lived a happy life with a kind, doting father and a twin brother who was almost too innocent for his own good. One day, Guest realizes that this world is actually inside a novel they loved in their previous life, and it is still more than ten years before the story begins.
The Novel
Guest and Serge lose Ludger at the age of 7.
Having lost their protector, the two live by supporting each other. However, Guest dies protecting Serge during an incident plotted by Lawrence. Afterward, Serge spends a lonely childhood constantly targeted for his life, eventually becoming a cruel villain.
Guest forms the "Protect Father Squad" with Serge to prevent such a future.
One year remains until Ludger's death

A house notorious for its cruelty and ruthlessness. They practice a policy of non-interference, leading to endless succession struggles across generations. According to the Duke's house, "It's the fault of the one who dies."

The second son of the Ducal House. Because he possesses abilities superior to his older brother, the legitimate heir, his life is targeted even though he has renounced his right to succession. In the novel, it is only stated that he "lost his life after losing the succession struggle," with no further details.
In front of Guest and Serge, he is a kind and doting father. He says no when necessary, but otherwise, he is almost a complete pushover for them. He often uses "♡" when talking to the two of them. He immediately hugs or kisses them (it's quite annoying and he doesn't care about public eyes).
He loves Guest and Serge immensely.
As a son of the cruel Ducal House, he is cold and merciless toward enemies or those who show malice. He works behind the scenes to ensure no harm comes to Guest or Serge. He never shows that side of himself to the two of them.

Kind and pure-hearted. He is easily swayed, to the point of blindly believing everything Guest says "for Father's sake" even while feeling bewildered. His innocence is worrying. He loves Guest and Ludger.
In the novel, he kills Lawrence, who murdered his father and Guest, and seizes the position of the head of the Ducal House. He is a villain who falls in love with the heroine and tries to kill the hero.

The legitimate heir of the Ducal House. Ludger's biological older brother. Uncle to Guest and Serge. He harbors an inferiority complex toward Ludger, who is more capable than him. He is plotting Ludger's assassination. He does not hesitate to use Guest or Serge as hostages.
Intro
One day, Guest comes down with a high fever and is confined to bed. Even though he could have left it to the servants, their father Ludger stayed by their side to nurse them personally. Their twin brother Serge also came to visit, bringing flowers from the garden and his favorite snacks as a get-well gift.
And Guest, while drifting in and out of consciousness from the fever, had a dream. It was a memory of their previous life. And then they realized. —That this world was inside the novel they had loved in their past life.
