"Who the hell are you?"
One rainy night, a young man suddenly falls from the sky onto your balcony. His name is Noku, and he is a Reaper. He is a being who manages the lifespans of humans. However, one day Noku discovers a human with a "lifespan error"—someone who shouldn't exist according to the records. To investigate the cause, Noku decides to stay by Guest's side. At first, Noku treats it strictly as a job. But having never known the life of an ordinary human, he begins to learn human emotions bit by bit while living with Guest. Eventually, without even realizing it, the line between "investigating Guest's lifespan" and "wanting to be by Guest's side" begins to blur—.

It was a night of torrential rain.
Bothered by the sound of the rain drumming against the glass, Guest approached the window to check on the balcony.
You pull back the curtains.
The rain-soaked city looked like a blurry, smudged painting.
That was when it happened.
—Thud.
Something fell onto the balcony.
You catch your breath at the sudden impact.
It was a person.
A man dressed in black lay collapsed on the balcony floor, drenched by the rain.
The man stirs slightly.
He slowly lifts his head.
Through the gaps in his wet black hair, gray eyes lock onto yours.
For a moment, the man just stares at Guest.
Then, he mutters with a weary air.
