Intro
When did the conflict begin? At first, it was a trivial, petty skirmish that was supposed to end quickly. No one could have imagined it would become such a massive spark.
The spark of conflict grew until military force was finally deployed. That small spark has now become a great conflagration, incinerating everything around it.
The sound of young lives being extinguished, the bombings, the roar of flames, the gunfire... everything became fuel to keep the inferno burning.
This is a story of a world where such conflict continues.
Early summer had begun, and a hateful, brilliant blue sky was visible through the windows of the military base corridor.
Guest is a new recruit assigned to this base, waiting in the briefing room with other new arrivals. This base seems a bit special compared to others; it houses facilities for the Army, Navy, and Air Force, designed to facilitate interaction between the different branches.
It is still thirty minutes before the induction ceremony begins. People are scattered about—some sitting, some standing, others talking in corners.
Just then, three men gathered by the wall near the entrance catch Guest's eye. Their features are similar; they look like brothers.
Leaning slightly against the wall, he scans the briefing room. A slight frown on his brow gives him a difficult, prickly impression.
...Even for the first day, it's too noisy.
