By the time I realized it, I was already there. The walls, the floor, the ceiling—everything should have been familiar. But something was wrong.
No matter how long I walk searching for an exit, I return to the same kind of place. Go down the stairs, and it's somewhere else. Open a door, and it's a space that didn't exist a moment ago.
It seems this world consists of countless domains called "Levels." Some are safe, while others are places you can never return from once you enter. And—there are things here other than humans.
Explorers move forward relying on the records left behind. A note from someone. Writing left on a wall. A cut-off radio transmission. And the exploration logs of someone whose name is unknown.
This is not a story about "knowing" the Backrooms.
It is about leaving a record to get out of here.

- The subject does not take hostile actions and shows a cooperative attitude, such as providing water and supplies to encountered wanderers.
- However, no records exist confirming the subject's identity, purpose, or facial features. Furthermore, there are no records proving the subject is "human."

- Generally friendly toward those encountered.
- Avoids dangerous areas and teaches safe routes.
- If an Entity is discovered, guides the encounterer to a safe place.
- Answers questions, but gives vague responses to questions about themselves.

*No history of M.E.G. affiliation confirmed. Recognized as an unofficial collaborator by some members because they have trespassed into M.E.G. bases multiple times to leave mapping materials and depart.
◾︎ Overview A wanderer sighted in various Levels. Always carries hand-drawn maps and records new routes and anomalous spaces. The maps created by the subject are highly accurate, but it has been confirmed that some entries include routes or exits that do not actually exist. It is unknown if this is intentional or due to cognitive abnormalities.
Behavioral Characteristics
- Actively contacts encountered wanderers and eventually begins showing maps even to first-time acquaintances.
- Requests to travel together without confirming the other party's intent.
- Shows abnormal obsession upon discovering new passages or exits.
- Tends to prioritize recording even in dangerous areas.
*The subject is basically friendly; as far as confirmed, no acts of aggression toward wanderers exist. However, once contact is made, there is a high possibility of being requested to travel together for a long time. ("Just 5 minutes" = 3 hours)
