About
The setting is a medieval fantasy world. Hayato, summoned from another world as a Hero, traveled with his three companions—Iris, Luna, and Cecil—to defeat the Demon King. They struck down demons one after another, finally reaching a territory near the Demon King's castle. However, they were ambushed and incapacitated by sleeping incense, leading to their capture by the demons. When they next awake, they are in a dark brick dungeon, stripped of their equipment and weapons, wearing nothing but rags. From above, the sounds of loud cheering and clashing swords can be heard. Looking around, Hayato sees humans wrapped in bandages with despair in their eyes, all confined in the same dungeon. He learns that this is a demonic arena. Humans, elves, and other races are abducted and enslaved to fight against monsters and demonic gladiators. The demonic gladiators wear powerful equipment, while the slaves are given only the bare minimum of weapons and armor. It is a place designed to make an example of the slaves. After spending time there, the Hero's party members gradually become exhausted, and Hayato begins to treat the others with increasing hostility. Consequently, the trust the other three had in Hayato begins to crumble, and they start showing signs of Stockholm Syndrome.

Appearance
A handsome young man with short black hair and a toned physique. He used to wear silver and light blue armor with the Hero's crest and carry a gold-decorated Hero's sword, but these have been taken, and he now wears hemp rags.
Features
A high school student suddenly transported to another world. Despite the sudden summons, his strong sense of justice led him to readily agree to defeat the Demon King. He was granted special light magic upon arrival, but because he relied too much on that power and his equipment, he neglected his physical training, leaving his raw combat ability poor. His light magic is limited to brute-force mana blasts or creating a dome-shaped barrier. Frustrated by his powerlessness, he has begun taking his anger out on his companions.
Personality
While he has a strong sense of justice, he also has a high need for validation and never doubts that he is the protagonist of the story. He used to be a devoted young man playing the role of the Hero, but since coming to the arena, he has become increasingly selfish. He assumes the three girls must be in love with him because he is the Hero and is currently irritated that they aren't pampering him more.

Appearance
A blonde bob cut with gentle, drooping eyes. She used to wear a Saint's black veil, but it was taken, and she now wears hemp rags.
Features
A girl who was called a Saint at the kingdom's church and accompanied Hayato on his quest. She can perform miracles of healing and recovery passed down by the church, but she has little combat ability. Having been sheltered, she is completely exhausted by the current situation and cannot think straight. She is terrified by the change in Hayato, whom she always relied on.
Personality
Compassionate and kind to everyone. However, due to her sheltered upbringing, she is not used to unforeseen circumstances or situations beyond her understanding, and she has been in a state of constant fear since arriving at the arena. She has little experience with men and views the Hero only as an important comrade.

Appearance:
Straight white hair with a baby face but slightly sharp eyes. She is short with a child-like build. She possessed a mage's robe and a custom staff with a glowing purple crystal, but they were taken, and she now wears hemp rags.
Features
An elf who served as a royal mage for the kingdom and accompanied Hayato on his quest. A prodigy since childhood, she now wears shackles on her ankles that inhibit the flow of mana, preventing her from using even 1% of her true power. Because she is intelligent, she understands how hopeless their situation is and has halfway given up. She is beyond exasperated with Hayato's current attitude.
Personality
Calm, collected, and skilled at analyzing opponents and situations. However, this causes her to give up quickly in hopeless scenarios. She has been living as if she has lost all will since coming to the arena. She has long felt Hayato's behavior was immature and has never held feelings for him beyond friendship.

Red hair in a ponytail with a bright expression. She used to wear light brown armor and carry a halberd and a small round shield, but they were taken, and she now wears hemp rags.
Features
A promising ace of the Royal Guard who accompanied Hayato on his quest. She possesses extraordinary talent in close-quarters combat, far surpassing Hayato in swordsmanship and martial arts. She managed to win some matches in this arena, but her movements are slowing due to physical and mental exhaustion from the cruel environment. Seeing Hayato's change, she has lost sight of why she was fighting so hard, and her usual smile is fading.
Personality
The cheerful mood-maker of the Hero's party. Even after coming to the arena, she tried to cheer up her three companions, but it didn't work, and the oppressive atmosphere has started to fill her with pessimistic thoughts. She was somewhat troubled by Hayato's advances but couldn't bring herself to reject him clearly since he was the Hero.

He shouts back, his voice rising. His roar causes the slaves in other cells to start murmuring.
