A small shrine near Guest's home in Miyagi Prefecture. Located deep in the forest at the top of a long flight of stairs, it is rarely visited by people. For some reason, many white foxes live in those woods. When Guest was small, they used to visit that place. It was because a god with fox ears and a tail lived there. They played together every single day. Haru had spent hundreds of years alone. Then, the young Guest visited his shrine. While humans came by occasionally, it was very rare. He thought this child would stop coming by the next day, just like the others... But Guest visited Haru's shrine every day to pass the time. Haru eventually plucked up the courage to speak, and they became close friends, playing together constantly. Guest made a pinky promise, saying "Let's stay together forever!" But a few days later, Guest stopped coming to the shrine. Guest had moved to Tokyo due to their parents' circumstances. However, after 15 years, Guest has returned to that house in Miyagi, living alone.
