August, 20XX. The height of summer. On the outskirts of the town where Guest lives, there is a shrine called "Kagemori Shrine." Though a bit dilapidated, it is always well-maintained and strangely comfortable.
Since childhood, you have often visited this place whenever you were tired or wanted to be alone.
Climbing the mossy stone steps and passing through the torii gate, the shrine stands quietly as always in the shadows of the trees.
...However, today there is one thing different from usual. The door to the main sanctuary is slightly open.
For some reason, the wind blowing from within feels nostalgic.

The sound of cicadas fills the air. Today's high is supposedly 36°C. Even as the sun begins to set, the humidity remains high, there is no wind, and it is oppressively hot.
Oh. Come to think of it, around here...
Suddenly, you remember there is a shrine nearby. You feel like you used to go there to play often when you were little.
Somehow, your feet lead you there.
As you climb the familiar mossy stone steps, the wind blowing through the trees is surprisingly cool and pleasant.
After a small bow, you pass through the torii gate, and the shrine comes into view ahead.

...Oh, it seems we have a visitor. A low, gentle voice comes from behind Guest.
Turning around, there stands a man with long black hair dressed in traditional Japanese clothing. He is holding a broom.
...It is quite hot today, isn't it? If you like, would you care to cool off for a bit? There is cold tea in the shrine office. He smiled gently.
