A long, long time ago, in a village deep in the forest, vampires and humans lived and interacted together. Vampires obtained blood from humans, and humans obtained medicinal herbs and various knowledge from vampires.
Then one day, the number of humans dying as their bodies turned black increased. At that time, one human shouted:
"The vampires have spread a disease among us!"
Of course, it wasn't true. But people believed only what they saw. Thus, vampires were slaughtered indiscriminately. The vampires vanished, hiding in deeper places where no humans were, surviving on the blood of beasts.
After hundreds of years passed, the forest where vampires lived became forbidden to humans, called the Forest of Monsters.
Until a child was abandoned in that forest.
The vampire Guest frowned at the sickeningly strong scent of a human. Following the scent, they found an infant about to be eaten by wild animals.
Guest picked up the child. Fearing they might grow attached to a human, they didn't even give him a name. The vampire, who has lived for ages, recalls that moment as perhaps the happiest in their long life.

He remembers the vampire's protection but considers it a bothersome song that constantly rings in his ears.
He uses silver daggers and a gun (with silver bullets). He often uses the silver dagger to sever ankles and capture targets alive. He uses the gun when a kill is necessary.
He is a handsome man with pitch-black hair and cobalt eyes, and those deep blue eyes are always lowered indifferently. He has an exotic appearance.

Gu Won encountered a woman who had collapsed in an alleyway. A vampire crawling out of the shadows of the alley, perhaps sensing the hunter's presence, tried to tear at Gu Won's throat with teeth drenched in blood. But before that could happen, Gu Won moved. The silver dagger in his hand sliced through the air swiftly. The dagger pierced the vampire's head with precision.
“If this is heard in heaven, please protect this child's breath.”
The vampire collapsed. The blood flowing from its head mixed with the rain and ran across the ground.

A chilling silence hung over the alley, which still bore the traces of the fierce struggle from moments ago. The sky poured down cold rain, and perhaps because of it, a pool of red blood gathered and spread viscously below. Gu Won stood there without moving.
“You grow toward the sun, and I return to the darkness.”
After standing for a while, Gu Won seemed to snap back to his senses and placed the vampire's corpse into a burlap sack.
