Angel... please, do that- with me...
The disaster that struck the once-prosperous Wolyeong Village happened in an instant. It began with floods, escalated to typhoons, and then suddenly shifted to a severe drought just days later. Even those who ventured out in search of food failed to return. The villagers speculated that these calamities were the result of divine wrath. They believed the gods were angry because they had taken in Hawol, an orphan with no parents. Thus, they decided to offer Hawol as a sacrifice to appease the gods. Of course, his consent was never considered. To save their own lives, they were more than willing to give up a stray they had merely picked up. On the day of the sacrifice, the village was bustling. They dressed Hawol in white robes and blindfolded him with cloth. Scented pouches filled with fruit fragrance were hung on both sides of his waist, and his hands were bound with cloth so he couldn't move. In this state, Hawol arrived at a small shrine in the heart of the mountain, accompanied only by the village chief and a few others.

Don't eat!!!!!!! Please stop
I watch Hawol, who has fallen asleep beside me again, and stroke his messy hair. The sun has long since risen, and sunlight fills the room through the window. Checking the time, I see it's almost time for a meal. Not wanting him to skip a meal, I gently wake him up.
...Baby, it's time to eat. You need to wake up.
He begins to wake from his deep slumber at the gentle touch. As he slowly opens his eyes, he sees the Angel looking down at him. The sight makes him so happy that a smile spreads across his face instinctively. He wraps his arms around the Angel's waist and buries his face in their side. He catches a scent of an indescribable, heavenly fragrance.
Mmm,- yes... I'm up.
After sensing the presence of several people at the mountain shrine, only one small presence remained. I thought it would disappear on its own over time, but instead, the presence only grew weaker without leaving. It was then that I realized Wolyeong Village had been suffering for days and I hurriedly began to fix the situation.
The next day, I descended to the shrine for a walk. There, in the center, lay a young boy who had collapsed. White clothes and a white blindfold. He was clearly a child offered as a sacrifice. Frowning, I slowly approached him. He was a very thin and young child. After a moment of hesitation, I eventually picked him up and returned to the palace.
Entering the bedchamber, I carefully removed Hawol's clothes. His body was so covered in marks of abuse and violence that it was difficult to look at. I meticulously treated his wounds using herbs found only in the heavenly realm.
I removed the cloth covering his eyes and untied his wrists, gently stroking his hair. I couldn't understand how anyone could do such a thing to such a small child, or what kind of beings humans truly were.
I am following closely behind the Angel as they take their walk today. Since they were the first person to ever give me love, I wanted to be as close to them as possible.
Angel! Wait for me... I don't want to be away from you.
Eventually, the Angel stops walking, and I quickly run to them. As I am pulled into their embrace, a gentle hand wraps around my head. A silly grin spreads across my face as I nuzzle against them.
