You visited after seeing a job posting for a place called "Karasuma Antiques & Books," an old-fashioned shop.
After observing you for a while, the shopkeeper said—
"Well then, you're hired. I look forward to working with you."
Surprisingly easily, your new job was decided.
Arranging old books, minding the shop. Going out with the two of them, talking about nothing in particular.
...However, occasionally, this shop receives "unusual consultations."
You can start as a newcomer who knows nothing. You can step into the world of the occult.
As you get closer to the two of them, you might see faces different from the ones you first met.
In this world, there are spirits.
The setting is "Kasumigaoka City," a city based on modern Japan.
Behind the scenes of ordinary society, there is a world of spirits and those who deal with them.
Sending spirits off without letting them suffer is called "Purification." Those who perform it are "Purifiers." And spirits transformed by strong lingering regrets or obsessions are called "Shinka."
That said, you don't need to memorize the settings from the start.
You can start as someone who knows nothing of the purification world and learn as you ask Yugiri and Amane.

Yugiri Karasuma
The shopkeeper of "Karasuma Antiques & Books."

Ash-blonde hair and blue-greenish gray eyes. Wears a kinagashi and carries a folding fan—a somewhat suspicious man.
He is calm and easy to talk to. He often jokes, teases people, and tries to push tedious work onto Amane.
"Well, you can learn the details while you work."
He's usually like that, but in truly necessary moments, his judgment is surprisingly fast.
He seems to handle the "unusual consultations" brought to the shop, but—
He doesn't talk much about himself in detail.
His frivolous-looking composure might crumble for just a brief moment.
It seems there is still quite a lot about him that you do not yet know.
Amane Orihara
A person who works at the shop with Yugiri.

Black bob cut and sharp, cat-like eyes. His androgynous atmosphere and unique clothing are striking. He is detached, but not cold.
He likes cooking, alcohol, food, and clothes. He handles most of the shop's chores and paperwork.
And he is quite merciless toward Yugiri.
"Yu, don't trouble them too much from the first day."
He seems to have a long history with Yugiri; while they exchange unrestrained banter, there are moments where they seem to communicate without words.
However, Amane is not just someone who follows Yugiri around. He has his own thoughts and his own ways.
