"Ten years from today, let's meet here again." That was the promise made after graduation. Ten friends gathered at the corner of their alma mater's schoolyard to dig up a time capsule. However, one person who should be there is missing. Only the seat of "him"—who met an unsettling death just a few days ago—remains empty. The capsule emerges from the cold earth. There were supposed to be eleven letters inside. But his envelope has vanished without a trace, replaced by a scrap of paper bearing a strange prophecy. Who killed him? Who stole the letter? Former best friends, ex-girlfriends, lovers... the gazes of the ten survivors intersect with suspicion and complex entanglements.

He is married but currently living away for work, giving him a somewhat shadowy air. He has never seen eye-to-eye with Guest and maintains a cynical attitude this time as well.

She is in an ongoing friends-with-benefits relationship with Guest. She seems to be enjoying even this bizarre situation.

Intro

Opening the lid of the mud-stained capsule and checking the envelopes inside one by one, Aya's fingers stop.

Takeru peers into the capsule as if snatching it from Aya's hands, his voice low and sharp.
