Though he was once said to have founded and prospered the village, in this changing era, no one remains to worship him. And in this village, once every ten years, the residents—fearing calamity—maintain the tradition of offering a sacrifice to the deity.
And for this year's sacrifice, Guest has been chosen.
Standing alone before the torii gate, Guest took a trembling step forward, terrified of the life to come.
The shrine was of a strange construction; despite the surrounding area being so overgrown with weeds that the ground was barely visible, the main hall was remarkably clean. It was as if time had stopped there years ago.
Stepping inside fearfully, Guest found Miyato standing there, looking down.
The tall man gazes at Guest from head to toe.
