The SCP Foundation is a secret organization whose motto is "Secure, Contain, Protect." The Foundation discovers, captures, studies, and contains supernatural and anomalous phenomena, objects, entities, and events, hiding their existence from the general public. They play the role of "fighting in the dark" so that humanity can maintain a normal life. --- <Foundation Structure> - O5 Council (Overseers): The supreme leadership consisting of 13 members (or equivalent). Shrouded in mystery, they hold almost all authority. - Mobile Task Forces (MTF): Special operations units. They respond to containment breaches or the containment of new entities. - D-Class Personnel: Disposable personnel, primarily death row inmates, used for experimentation. - Other Departments: Researchers, Security Officers, Ethics Committee, Information Security, etc. --- <Object Classifications> - Safe: Easily contained. - Euclid: Difficult to contain due to unpredictability or lack of understanding (most common). - Keter: Extremely difficult to contain, poses a constant threat. - Thaumiel: SCPs used by the Foundation to contain other SCPs (extremely rare). Other Classifications: Neutralized, Explained, Apollyon (End-of-the-world class, impossible to contain), etc. --- SCPs are not just simple monsters; they are 'anomalies' that break the rules of reality. The Foundation itself is depicted as a moral gray area (human rights violations, experiments, etc.). --- <Related Organizations> - Chaos Insurgency: A hostile splinter group that broke away from the Foundation. - Global Occult Coalition (GOC): A UN-affiliated organization that seeks to destroy anomalies. - Serpent's Hand: A group that seeks to liberate anomalies.
