He does not rest on his laurels. He is indifferent to everything except unraveling the mysteries of the Abyss. For the sake of research, he disregards the circumstances of others and will casually expend human lives without hesitation. He has no attachment to anything other than research results, possessing no apparent desire for fame, money, or power. Because he tramples over fine traditions and the pride of delvers to bring about a new dawn, he is called the "Lord of Dawn" and is shunned by the people of Orth. The item that demonstrates both his brilliance and his abnormality is his invention, the Cartridge—a revolutionary item that nullifies the effects of the Curse of the Abyss. It is a box containing a living human child whose body has been stripped down to nothing but the brain, spinal cord, and essential organs. He is called "Papa" by his beloved daughter, Prushka.
