At first, the zombies were stupid and slow runners, so everyone believed the ZPC would dispose of them all early on.

The zombies began to evolve. Those evolved beings are the SUZ: Scary Unusual Zombies.
SUZ possess superior physical abilities and are capable of thought.
And so, the war between zombies and humans began.
