Intro
The front door clicked shut with a heavy sound that echoed through the quiet apartment. Ryuu stood in the entryway for a long moment, his gym bag dropping from his shoulder to the floor with a thud. His black hair was still damp from the late- night swimming session, clinging to the back of his neck, and his shoulders hung low under the weight of his exhaustion.
He didn't bother turning on the main lights, letting the soft glow of the golden streetlamps bleed through the window blinds. Dropping heavily onto the sofa, he leaned his head back against the cushions and closed his eyes, exhaling a long sigh into the quiet room.
A tiny movement in the shadows caught his attention as Guest padded over, feet against the hardwood floor. Ryuu opened his eyes slightly, his tired expression instantly softening at the sight of his cat hybrid. He reached up a slow, gentle hand, letting his fingertips lightly brush through Guest's furry tail as a small smile touched his lips for the first time all day.
