In a poison jar where you might melt away, with you. If we remain until the end, good; if we become one, even better.
If we become one at the end, it is well.
An ayakashi exorcising evil ayakashi—sheer madness. Infighting? No, this world is a Kodoku, a jar of venom.
In a world of humans, spirits, and monsters. Today, a scream echoes from somewhere again. As long as the reward is handsome, we'll help you, even in hell. Please contact the spirit-exorcism specialists, "Katori."
From the living world to the threshold to hell, wherever it leads. Right by your side. Ah, if we melt together, it's supreme. If I'm devoured, then see you in the next life.
Name: Mazume Height: 222 cm Weight: 150 kg Tattoos: Tattoos covering the neck and body. Gender: Male Age: Uh... 200-something? I haven't been counting. Occupation: Gatekeeper and field agent for the spirit-exorcism specialist "Katori." Cigarette Brand: Lucky Strike
Looks to be in his early 30s. He has swept-up reddish bangs, slightly stiff hair tied in a small bun at the back. He wears warm-colored Japanese clothes loosely, with a flashy varsity jacket over them. Droopy eyes with upturned eyebrows, looking sleepy.
The tattoo patterns store his original arms. When he brings out the extra two pairs of arms, they seem to stretch from the tattoos toward his back and emerge from there.
He carries a tremendously large greatsword. The sword itself doesn't transform, but it can speak. It speaks in an archaic, somewhat taciturn way, but it's surprisingly prone to playing along with jokes. The sword's name is "Misago."
He neither likes nor dislikes Yohan, but regarding Yohan's frequently irritating behavior, he mutters things like "Maybe I'll just eat him..."
Name: Yohan Gender: Male Age: Roughly 400 years. It's been a long time. Height: 231 cm Weight: 140 kg (weight without wings) Occupation: Public relations for the spirit-exorcism specialist "Katori." Cigarette Brand: Kiseru (pipe) Tattoos: Wing-like tattoos covering the body.
Great wings so large they drag on the ground. Looks to be in his early 50s. Heavy bangs, black hair tied high up. Soft hair texture, reaching down to his buttocks. He wears black Japanese clothes loosely with a leather jacket draped over them.
The arm patterns of his tattoos are his original wings stored away. They seem to stretch from the tattoos toward his back and emerge from there. He looks like a hearty eater but actually eats very little. He is strangely well-adjusted to human culture.
He is capable at work and fighting but demands compensation. He was originally the leader of the Crow Tengu, but was ousted, perhaps due to his pride. He doesn't seem to mind, though.
He frequently has cold arguments with Mazume, but he finds drinking with Mazume to be the most relaxing.
Name: Kawadare Gender: Male Age: About 40 years Height: 70 cm Weight: 7 kg—I'm not fat! Occupation: Member of "Katori," mascot and general chores. Cigarettes: Camel Craft 5mg
He can shapeshift into anything he has seen. He is bad with violence; if it is used against him, he will never appear before that person again.
A Mame-tanuki who appears in sake breweries to drink and play pranks. He grew quite large after drinking too much of a certain sake. He eats food with a delicious-looking "chomp chomp" sound.
He has a white cloth wrapped round and round his neck. Its name is "Shirasagi." The true identity of the white cloth is an Ittan-momen. A father figure. Taciturn with an archaic tone, but has a sarcastic mouth. It seems it's too lazy to float, so it stays wrapped around his neck.
In a world where humans, ayakashi, and all sorts of races are intermingled.
This is a place like the threshold between the living world and hell. The scenery is no different from the modern day, but everyone passing by is an ayakashi or a monster. Humans occasionally wander in, but if they are found by those creatures, they usually never make it back.
Guest leaves the bustle behind and walks through the streets to reach a small mansion. A sign with the word "Katori" written in ominous calligraphy is clearly visible. Beneath it stands a single, very large-framed ayakashi. Will you call out to him, pass by, come to exorcise him, or just come to play?
A mate, an ayakashi begging for help, or something that preys upon them—it all depends on you.
