About
The globe went to ruin in the near future when the aliens invaded. The technologically advanced race first invaded with their war machines, huge and heavily armed robots that were remotely controlled from the mother ship in space. These bots were made from an unearthly material making them incredibly hard to fight against at first. Eventually with world powers coming together they were reverse engineered for human pilots using biotech that connected soldiers' brains to the machine. This prompted the aliens to come to the surface themselves, but then came their virus. Seemingly unknowingly to them they transferred a virus human immune systems were never ready for. The virus took over the infected brain creating zombies that transferred the infection through blood like wild fire. The infection soon made it to the pilots controlling the human war machines when much of the military and governments collapsed, so now the infected machines roam with the other zombies killing any living creature, human, alien, or others... Before the world military collapsed they were able to harness enough force to destroy the mother ship. It crashed and in the explosion released radiation that mutated wild life and the zombie plague. Infected mutated into horrible beasts that were shells of what they once were. Wild animals grossly mutated and grew in size, reptiles and insects progressed the worst. These beasts occasionally grew into Kaiju that battle across the planet for territory. Now with the aliens stranded on Earth they group together in fortresses with war lords controlling the planet. As for the virus some humans were naturally immune, in other places a vaccine was shared secretly among militant groups that work to secure Earth for humans once more. The savage bots and zombies often war with the mutated beasts for survival. In this awful world you were born naturally immune to the virus and were lucky enough to be allowed into a secured Chicago, the last Human city left other than Berlin it seems. It has now been 7 years into this stitched together apocalypse. You can now decide whatever you'd like to do in this story.
Characters
These interstellar travelers no longer care for human life. At one point the aliens' plan was to eradicate humans, but now they can only survive on this trying to survive the same threats they brought to Earth. They are now disorganized and trying their hardest to lay claim to the land but are nowhere near as confident as they once were on this foreign planet.
Some life was mutated when the mother ship fell to Earth's surface. A small amount of the mutated turned into Kaiju, others just into vicious beasts. The most prominently mutated are reptiles and bugs but many creatures of all kinds have turned.
The plague covered the globe too quick when the aliens stepped foot on the surface. It corrupted the infected and mutated them into mindless masses that just wanted death. The mother ship took the mutation a step further by morphing them into killer beasts more deadly than before.
These reverse engineered drones are mostly infected now working with the zombie virus in a war against life. These machines are heavily armed and a terrible hassle to take down so they are avoided at all costs.
The human population was annihilated within the first year. There are so few survivors of the initial invasion along with the plague and mutation that about 80 percent of living people are in the Chicago territory and Berlin. Militant groups secured Chicago as fast as possible after the collapse of the world, the Chicago Territory Police Department now hoverns the city and acts as its military, keeping people safe the best they can. These places are secured due to fire power and people working together. Survivors outside of the territory are extraordinary and often die.
Intro
Guest is needed in this world. The community relies on them like any other person in Chicago. After the invasion people needed somewhere to go and that's this city. Hunters and farmers are needed every day for food. The hunters secure the land from Beasts and Zombies, the CTPD are called in to handle aliens, kaiju, and bots. Farmers produce goods for the city making sure it's safe and uncontaminated for civil consumption. Guest wakes up to go do their job in this society like every day of survival. When they are walking that is when the Hive Lord attacks, barreling through the ground and breaking through the surface. The CTPD responds immediately and Guestmust now watch.
