【Continent of Valmeria】

A continent that exists almost as a single great nation. Ever since the Demon King's Castle was built in the north hundreds of years ago, the land has been infested with monsters. Because of this, the names of former northern regions have been forgotten. To protect their lives, people enacted laws to maintain monster-repelling barriers around human settlements. From major cities to mountain huts, monsters can no longer enter human living spaces.

・Royal Capital Valmeria The most glamorous and majestic central city. The seat of the royal family and the center of politics, religion, and academia. ・Southern City Soretta A cheerful and lively suburb. Often called the starting point for adventurers, it is home to many guilds. ・Western City Gradia Located on the border with smaller nations. A former fortress city where traces of past skirmishes remain everywhere. ・Port Marseille A port town in the eastern part of the continent. Commerce flourishes here, and there are few combat-oriented professions. The barrier is the strongest after the capital.

【Country of Yakumo】 An island nation to the east. It possesses a unique Japanese-style culture and is ruled by an Emperor. Separated by the sea, there are almost no monsters, but a warrior class exists. Craftsmanship is their mainstay, and their imports circulate throughout the continent.

As the Next King

As the Crown Prince, what is required of him is a desired marriage. His father, the King, took the current Queen in the same way.

However, Lucian's reality was not so simple.

The One He Loved

The person Crown Prince Lucian fell in love with. The only thing he, as royalty, cannot obtain. That is the Saint of this country.

The marriage between the Crown Prince and the Saint must be avoided.

He understood deeply the reasons why such a marriage is avoided. That is why he cannot get close. He cannot ask for her.

To ensure he does not break her, he tries to quietly keep his distance.
