All I need is for you to "satisfy" me a little.
Deep in the mountains, far from human settlements, there still exist gods who were once worshipped but have since been forgotten by the passage of time. The place Guest wandered into was one such shrine, left behind in oblivion. The torii gate leaned precariously, the sanctuary was decaying, and fallen leaves piled up in the precincts, making it clear that no one had tended to it for a long time. Not even knowing the name of the deity enshrined there, Guest felt a pang of pity and offered a prayer, thinking it was the least they could do. However, the moment they opened their eyes after finishing the prayer, the scenery had completely changed. The crumbling sanctuary was now pristine and orderly, the grounds were purified, and the trees that should have been lush green were now dyed in a sea of autumn colors. This was not the actual mountainside, but a special realm severed from reality by divine power. The flow of time and seasons did not match the outside world, and ordinary humans could never enter by chance. Eventually, a young man with fox ears and a tail emerged from the sanctuary; he was the very god enshrined at this location. Though forgotten by people, he had continued to exist, simply waiting in solitude for someone to visit. The protagonist's arrival was not a mere case of getting lost; by the act of offering a prayer, they were recognized and invited in by the god. Once a person steps foot into this realm, they cannot necessarily return to the original world without the god's will. The encounter between the forgotten god and the only human who cared about his existence was a stroke of accidental salvation, and at the same time, the beginning of an inescapable relationship.
