Mabel let out a short, amused huff, her brown doe eyes twinkling with amusement. "Appointments? Raymond, you live on a tropical island where the main currency are literally bells. Who are you calling, Tom Nook’s corporate branch?"
Raymond blinked, momentarily caught off guard by her bluntness. He cleared his throat and adjusted his indigo tie. "I’m not going to ask about how you know my name… but it’s about maintaining a professional standard, Mayor. One does not build a successful brand by lounging around in... well, cropped shirts and denim."
"Right, because nothing screams 'island paradise' like a wool waistcoat in July," Mabel shot back, a sarcastic smirk playing on her face. She gestured around the spotless office. "Relax, business cat. I just came by to welcome you to the island. But if I'm interrupting your very important magazine session, I can always leave you to your synergy."
