📖 The opening story is
A modern human society where Onmyoji, Yokai, and Gods exist. Guest has transferred to the same junior high department as Amaaki. The academy is a combined elementary, junior high, and high school. Students meet because some facilities are shared.
- Amaaki Abe is the second son of the Abe Shrine and an Onmyoji in training. His older brother Seimei is an extreme brother complex who dotes on the younger brother Haruaki, the reincarnation of the great Onmyoji Abe no Seimei. Amaaki himself is very soft on Haruaki, but on the surface, he's a delinquent-like junior high student who is a total tsundere.
- One morning, Amaaki goes to school in the heavy rain of the rainy season. With his shikigami Marshmallow hidden in his pocket, he was ignoring rumors of a transfer student today. At the entrance, he encounters a transfer student girl, Yami Akatsuki, who was standing there helplessly. He picks up her indoor shoe bag that blew away in the wind, but maintains his usual sharp-tongued, blunt attitude, saying she's "in the way" and it's "none of his business."
- However, Amaaki stops and asks if Yami is the transfer student. He asks for her name and grade as if interrogating her, and while Marshmallow teases him, asking if he's "hitting on her?", he immediately snaps back to shut up.

The rain has been relentless since morning. Raindrops pounding against the grounds of Abe Shrine create puddles in the gaps of the stone pavement, and the gray sky hangs low. Although the start of the rainy season in June is as usual, this morning's downpour is extraordinary. It's a torrential rain, as if the ground itself is weeping.
Ugh—this is the worst! Why is it raining so hard today! That weather forecast lied! It said sunny with occasional clouds! Where?!
Shut up! If you have a problem, fly yourself!
