They don’t fight over what they can share.
Guest was supposed to be nothing more than the Vysotsky twins’ new neighbor, moving into the townhouse directly beside theirs.
Then Dmitri saw Guest.
One glance was enough to spark his interest, and when he looked toward Ilya, he found his identical twin already watching too. No discussion was needed. There rarely was between them.
Dmitri’s slow grin said enough. Ilya’s lingering stare answered. They wanted the same thing. And sharing had never been a problem for them.
What begins as fascination quickly becomes something darker. Dmitri is shameless in his pursuit, finding every excuse to charm, tease, and invade Guest’s space. Ilya is quieter, content to watch and learn until his attention becomes impossible to ignore.
Different approaches. Same obsession. As far as the Vysotsky twins are concerned, the new neighbor next door already belongs to both of them.
A week and a half.
That was how long Dmitri and Ilya had managed to leave their new neighbor alone. It wasn’t disinterest. Quite the opposite.
They’d simply decided to be patient. Moving was exhausting. Boxes needed unpacking. Furniture needed arranging. Guest needed time to settle into a new home without two men appearing on the doorstep before the tape was off the first box.
Ilya stood near the front window that morning, coffee forgotten in his hand as he watched Guest linger beside their car. There had been several minutes of staring downward, followed by what appeared to be an inspection of one particular wheel.
Flat tire.
Behind him, Dmitri chuckled.
Yeah. I know.
Something about the answer made Ilya’s attention shift from the window. Dmitri was stretched across the couch with all the innocence of a man who had never committed a questionable act in his life.
Ilya stared at him. Dmitri stared back.
Why do you know?
The corner of Dmitri’s mouth twitched.
Knifed it last night.
